If I recall correctly a lute has 7 choruses (2 strings per chorus) and has the weird bent neck.
I’d assume that it is fairly similar to a guitar, but it’d be a little difficult to use guitar tabs for it, as it has the extra chorus (7 “strings” while a guitar generally has 6)
